Spring has finally arrived, the days are getting longer and the spring bulbs are starting to flourish.
We are holding a Daffodil Tea at Castlebank Horticulture Centre on 16 April and hope that as many people as possible will come along, see the daffodils in full bloom in the park and enjoy a cuppa, a cake and a blether.
We also hope more people will sign up as volunteers as the more people that come along to help the easier it is for everyone. It doesn’t have to be heavy digging as there is always plenty of seed thinning and planting to do in the polytunnels and the hanging basket planting will soon be a priority. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the main volunteer days and an hour or two of your time would be most welcome.
