    Well that’s the last event of Winterfest 2016 over and what a great three weeks it has been. The Christmas Floral Art Workshop was a great success. Many thanks to Jean Gardiner for demonstrating so well. Everyone left with beautiful arrangements. Now it’s time to start planning the Springfest!!!

    The Christmas Wreath Workshops were held in the polytunnel today and were a great success with everyone leaving with a beautiful holly wreath which they had made. Grateful thanks to Cammy Murray for leading the class.

    This year for the first time the Festive Taste of Lanark was held on a Saturday and it was a great success. The various stalls in the Tolbooth were kept busy all day and a lot of money was raised for the Development Trust, Lanark Rotary, Freda and Friends Lanimer...

    What a great night with Robin Laing, The Whisky Bard. There weren’t a great number of people present but those who were thoroughly enjoyed an evening of music, poetry and tasting delicious, rare whiskies. Thanks to all involved.

    On Sunday afternoon Mary Barkley and her two elf assistants treated her audience to a wonderful demonstration of Christmas recipes. The Christmas themed event was hilarious but the food that was produced was absolutely delicious. Many thanks Mary and your two elf assistants for giving us such a fun afternoon....
